| Thank you for this critical pedagogy of an elite school district. I currently live on Long Island , which houses more than 100 independent public school districts (many of which are considered to be elite). Your article not only points to the kinds of conflicts that school leaders may encounter with "high cultural capital parents," but also lays the foundation for a larger discussion regarding the genesis of seemingly "redundant" school districts in suburban America. |
