I wrote this article hoping to get a rejoinder from scholars who ó unlike me ó to believe that human learning IS about individual brains acquiring and processing information. I have presented these arguments to friends and colleagues from a traditional psychology background before, but I have not yet benefited from a logical rebuttal -- at least once they realize that I'm NOT arguing for interpretivism or strong social constructivism, the traditional counterpoints to their views about objectivity and representation.
