* Icarus, Aircraft, and Dumb Ideas

Old Icarus meant well, but he took a lot of short-cuts in trying to fly. Those with the same aspirations eventually learned how to build aircraft that would fly people, but they didn't do it by relying on standardized flight scores or on privatization masked as charters.

Reformers could learn a lot by reading this article. Will they? Not a chance! They are resistant to change and uninterested in data that demonstrate their failure.

The Education Reform story isn't over; the feathers and wax are still ascending.

Thanks, Larry. More myth-busting is needed.
