A different perspective

Posted By: bill dobbins on March 27, 2007

Rather than focusing on the lack of achievement of the minority students in relation to the white students I want to know why the white students still outpace the minorities after 50 years. I am 55 year of age and white. I am from the South and we integrated in grade school. As a teacher in predominantly minority schools for most of adult career I want to know why this gap still exists. What are the white kids doing that allows them to maintain their lead?
