|Student Achievement Gap-|
I find it interesting that we spend so much time talking about closing the gaps between gender and race when we should look at "raising the bar for all chldren". Looking at all categories of students demonstrating improvement should be our goal and if along the way we close some gaps then great! I don't think we should sacrifice any student's education for statistical gain. All children deserve the best we can give them regardless of the situation they come from. Constant improvement should be the long range goal of all educators. --One refreshing area of this work is the explanation of the impact and importance factors outside of the school play. Of course most educators have known this for quite some time.
