|While I could make many comments about the lack of quality of the author's analysis, I will choose only one. The author suggests certified teachers "have five years of classroom teaching experience during which time their students have learned significantly more than students in the classrooms of their peers." |
I guess is about time that the Lake Woebegone effect move from students to teachers. I look forward to the day that every teacher's students are above average, and not just a little above average, SIGNIFICANTLY above average. Alternatively, perhaps the author believes that we should devise a certification system that enforces a limit on the number of teachers who can be certified.
