Jean A. Patterson deserves praise for clarifying what her looking glasses are in examining the issues of gender inequity. It is time we acknowledge the fact that middle class and privileged women have a vested interested in gender issues. When all is said and done, the talent, years of educational experience, ambition, and aspiration of these women suffer most while ruling men continue to be the norm.
