I was going to send a long response with a point/counterpoint to this article...but it would be a waste of my time. It is obvious the authors have allowed their personal political beliefs to completely slant this article to an extremist position. As a Master of ED student and U.S. Veteran, I believe it might have been a good idea to speak to others that do not share your beliefs. So that, instead of sarcastically placing the term patriotism in quotation marks you might understand want it means to those of us who have fought for our country. I only hope others reading this article will seek out opposing points of view to understand both sides of the issue.
