Education and Economic Literacy: The Economic Literacy in Rural America

The major cause of economic illiteracy cannot be charged to the individual. Neither are the barriers to economic literacy among our farmers the result of a lack of intellectual capacity; nor are they due to intellectual laziness on their part. Let us rather say these barriers are the results of failure on the part of his schools, colleges, institutions, families, and organizations to develop the information he needs and in a form that he can understand.
