Professional Elements in the Education of Teachers

In what ways would the teaching of your subject differ if, instead of teaching prospective teachers, you were employed to teach the same subject in one of the best liberal arts colleges or in one of the best law schools of the country? If your answer to this is that there would be few if any differences, there is strong probability that there are few, if any, professional elements included in the teaching of your courses.
