College News and Departmental Notes: Household and Institution Administration

Professor Emma H. Gunther is to be away on sabbatical leave during the spring session. She is going to China as a lecturer for the Institute of International Education. Miss Lydia Ray Balderston, of the department, expects to go with her. They will spend the first month at Canton Christian College and the True Light Middle School, where they will lecture on the organization of courses in practical arts, emphasizing especially the work along the lines of household management. Later Miss Gunther expects to visit schools at Shanghai, and Ginling College at Nanking. She will spend about six weeks at Yen Ching Women's College, which is part of Peking University. At each of these places there are on the staff Teachers College graduates.
