"The 'Establishment' Needs no Defense..."

This is a statement of belief and protest by a professor of educational administration who proudly admits to being a member of the public school 'establishment.' Dr. Thomas objects with some eloquence to what he conceives to be an unwarranted attack on the men who maintained the public schools through years of crisis and neglect, long before Title I grants were thought of, long before education became a focal Federal concern.
