Curriculum-Reconstruction in the College

Most of the chapters in this yearbook discuss the curriculum from the point of view of the method of its construction. It would be interesting to discuss college curricula from the same point of view. However, both because this is the first discussion of college curricula to appear in the Yearbooks of the National Society, and because curriculum-revision in the light of modern psychological and sociological developments has made so much less progress in the colleges than in the elementary schools and in the high schools, it seems more useful to devote this chapter to a discussion of recent reconstruction of the college curricula, rather than to a discussion of how college curricula are constructed.
