Three Studies on the Effect of Training in Similar and Identical Material upon Stanford-Binet Test Scores

Thirteen trained children and 13 control children, all of them in the first grade, served as subjects. The trained and control children were paired by mental age and intelligence quotient upon the basis of Stanford Binet tests administered shortly before the experiment began. SElven in each group were of M.A. 5 to 6 years; and six were of M.A. 8 to 9 years. The I.Q.'s of these sub-sections averaged about 89 and 127, respectively.
