The following is our general answer to the question, What is the interrelation between the objective results of human thought and the objective results of computer problem-solving? Some relatively elementary results are equally attainable by man and by machine. It is difficult to state the source or origin of such results; it is difficult to state whether they have been created by man or by computer. In any case, things re-created nowadays by computer represent only a minor part of the achievements shown by man in the specific activity of a chess game.
