Journal of Vocational Education and Training
The Journal of Vocational Education and Training (formerly The Vocational Aspect of Education) is a fully-refereed international journal publishing scholarly articles that address the development of practice and theory in work-related education, wherever that education occurs. In many industrial countries education for occupations is mainly a post-compulsory provision, though that is fast disappearing as those societies realize the fruitful potential for using work-oriented studies for general educational purposes in compulsory primary and secondary schooling. In developing countries, where schooling can only claim resources if it is more directly relevant to national economic needs, vocational preparation is more often a normal experience for school children. This journal seeks to encourage such developments by acting as a focal point for the study of all aspects of vocational and pre-vocational education throughout the world.
All submitted articles are scrutinized anonymously by at least two independent referees before being accepted for publication.
From the first issue of Volume 48, 1996, the journal changed its title from The Vocational Aspect of Education.
