Journal of Reading (Journal of Adolescent and Adult Literacy) The Journal of Adolescent and Adult Literacy is a peer reviewed (refereed) journal as a service to members of the International Reading Association. It is intended as an open forum for the field of reading education, with the goal of encouraging effective instruction by interpreting the results of research and practice for a broad audience of reading professionals. JR carries material pertaining to learners of middle school age and above (adolescents and adults) whether in or out of school.
