    KIMBERLY A. GRIFFIN is an assistant professor of education policy studies at The Pennsylvania State University and a research associate in the Center for the Study of Higher Education. Her research addresses issues of access and equity in higher education for underserved communities, and among other peer reviewed publications, she is the coeditor of Towards a Brighter Tomorrow: College Barriers, Hopes and Plans of Black, Latino/a and Asian American Students in California. Her research interests include African Americans and Black immigrants in higher education, increasing diversity in graduate education and the professoriate, mentoring, and the influence of campus racial climate.
