Funding reform in public schools

Posted By: odile mattiauda on September 12, 2008

In response to Susan, I doubt that McCain can do any more for American public schools than our current president and his predecessors. As research has shown, competition exists, has existed, and will exist in public schools until the funding of schools is based on a national or state calculation and redistribution of funds as opposed to local tax revenue. As it stands today, even in the smallest state of the union, Rhode Island, discrepancies between school achievement are tightly coupled with the value of homes in the specific district and thus the income of the homeowners.
