alternative certification

Hi Connie!
I am from Indiana and know that Indiana University has an alternative certification program for those who already have a bachelor's degree in another area. It's 36 hours plus student teaching. However, I think the state of Indiana recognizes only those 'alternative' ways of certification that take one through universities and colleges. They also offer emergency licenses so that people can teach for the short term in a public school.
hope this helps!
