Teacher Evaluation

Posted By: Saleh Nusairat on January 2, 2001

It is true that there are advantages and disadavntages of the use of pre-conference discussions and scheduled observations. I have worked in Southern Virginia with student teachers of foreign languages, as well as teachers overseas. I found that most teachers prefer pre-conference discussion. They view this procedure as a kind of brainstorming session. This session will inform them about things supervisors look for in their observations. It is crucial for teachers to know that they have to be ready wether informed of a visit or not.
