Re-Examination of my dissertation

Payne's work keeps getting significant press! It seems that now is a good time for me to revisit my dissertation work on Ruby Payne's Language of Poverty Framework. My work was not a critical analysis of Payne's claims but rather a study of how teachers used the strategies. In 2000, I examined how teachers in a large urban school district used strategies from Payne's LOP framework when teaching science in their elementary classrooms after participation in LOP professional development. Teachers were very positive about their LOP professional development experience, but results related to how effective they were implementing the strategies were minimal.
