Credit where Credit's Due

Posted By: Jack Cole on June 7, 2007
I expect that many folks shy away from investing their work in open access journals because they fear the stigma that may work against their prospects for promotion and tenure. Moreover, submitting work from a corporate or governmental position may open an avenue for unwanted lawsuits. Credit where credit's due is an old, timeworn principle, but one that combines with the WIFM principle to restrict people's inclinations to put their work out there with little promise of recompense.
