Read a Post for What Educational Resources Do Students Need to Meet California's Educational Content Standards? A Textual Analysis of California's Educational Content Standards and Their Implications for Basic Educational Conditions and Resources | | Reply to this Post | | Where are the "performance standards"? | Posted By: Dick Schutz on September 3, 2006 | | Answer: They don't exist. The "content standards" are there. And the scaled scores on standardized tests are there. The authors make a good point that the committees that imaged the content standards recklessly posited media resources that have not been provided. However, they gloss over the more important point that the performance standards are absent.
