Dear Susan Williams,

I believe it is accurate and fair to say that, in the future, "in loco parentis" could just as likely be used to protect students from bigots of all kinds. And, I am not sad to say, “opting-out” is decidedly not always legal, as in the Mozert v. Hawkins case (decided by a federal appeals court).

Even though I agree that the “Fit to Teach” review invited your response, I think you will find that this is not a community where personal views will find much traction. Were it not for the depth of your convictions, my response would surely be to see your discussion contributions as silly stuff.

Please do spend more of your time describing your views in detail (it’s like watching a horror movie, if without the satisfying resolution). This is the last time I personally will respond to your posts, but I pass the baton in good faith to the next person in the community willing to spend a few moments to speak out against YOU.
