Ways to get students to think, ask questions

Posted By: jennifer brown on October 7, 2004

Can I suggest that teachers who are interested in getting students to think more about their own learning, to ask meaningful questions and to engage in higher order thinking have a look at the work of PEEL (Project for Enhancing Effective Learning). This Project has some innovative ideas for teachers to use in order to promote quality learning. Many of them focus on ways to get students to ask questions, others on ways to avoid the "blank stare". You can find out more by looking at the website www.peelweb.org
