TE survey

Posted By: Christopher Mullin on August 12, 2004
The paper has been submited for publishing in the Journal of Personel Evaluation in Education ( a great source). Briefly, the overwhelming majority of states leave teacher appraisal/evaluation/assessment up to the Local Education Authorities. About half of the states provide a default appraisal system that LEA's can choose to use or adapt to their suiting.

From a legal perspective look-up the work of Perry Zirkel's The Law of TE or Joseph Beckman's 10 commandments of TE. They are worth reading.

I hope this helps. Any other questions let me know.
