I've been reading some of David Warlick's work through the Pew Foundation (The Landmark Project, Raleigh, NC) and the "Slate" connections he's provided for buiding a webquest and lesson preparation is quite a teacher/student resource. If you haven't seen it, you may want to check it out because the aim is to continue the best classroom practices on investigative learning with a focus on higher order thinking skills, in an online format.
