|Yes--I agree with the above writer--we ignore such writing at our peril. I think the key passage in the review is:|

I teach in teacher education and, drawing from my experience, I think most teachers would resonate clearly with this work, and recognize such involvement in themselves and their students, but do not have the tools to self-consciously implement into curriculum that is guided by heavy-handed top-down prescriptions and controls, high-stakes testing, and a focus on behaviors.
