Can Neumann's "Attitude Indicator" Be Used as a Test?

ATTITUDE testing is becoming increasingly significant in educational research, because it points the way to determining qualitative outcomes in addition to quantitative outcomes. We want to know of a high school graduate not only how much information he possesses, but also what attitudes he holds. With the widening interest in new-type civics and social studies the discovery of the attitudes will become a necessary part of course examinations. Attitude tests also have value in indicating the emotional education of pupils. Test results throw light on how the child's emotions have become organized around certain ideas or social stereotypes. We may expect the development of a variety of attitude tests concerning complexes of societal attitudes on dominant concerns or issues.
