School Administration and Supervisory Organizations in Cities of 20,000 to 50,000 Population

This is an analytic study of present practice in school organization. The organizations in 22 Massachusetts cities are compared with organizations in 163 cities outside of Massachusetts. The total number of school systems involved in this study is 185, drawn from 37 states. Each of the city school systems is studied for: 1. The administrative and supervisory organization. 2. The number and kinds of positions in the organizations. 3. The number of employees in those positions.
