An Introduction to Biography for Young Children Who Test Above 150 IQ

by Leta S. Hollingworth - 1924

This report aims to present the results of an attempt to enrich the curriculum of the elementary school, for young, intellectually gifted children, by an introduction to biography. The work to be reported was conducted in the classroom for one school semester (February to June, 1923) by the present writer; and then for one school year (September, 1923, to June, 1924) by the pupils themselves under the guidance of Miss Nancy F. Sheeky, their classroom teacher. The experiment is a phase of the total experiment being carried out at Public School 165, Manhattan, by the committee1 previously reporting in the Twenty-Third Year Book of the National Society for the Study of Education.
