Recent Doctoral Studies: Children's Contributions in Science Discussions: A Consideration of Children's Verbal Responses in Relation to Certain Objectives for Science Instruction

After a period of years, the work of educators interested in science instruction in the elementary schools has resulted in a statement of certain objectives. It was the purpose of this study to investigate some of these objectives with regard to their appropriateness for young children.
