For an analysis of the role of the United Nations in American education, this discussion will touch briefly on this general issue, focusing upon that area in it which relates to the voluntary consolidation of human groups. Special concern will thus be with the principles and processes that operate when a multiplicity of relatively small human groups move into the over-all unity of a single large group.
