College News and Departmental Notes: Rural Education

by Departmental notes - 1922

An experimental rural school was opened in September under the direction of the department of rural education. This school is located in a typical rural community near Allamuchy in Warren County, N. J. Thirty-seven children are enrolled, fifteen of whom are in the beginning class. The work covers that of all the grades. Miss Marcia Everett, formerly of California and a recent graduate of Teachers College, is the teacher. Funds for this enterprise have been supplied through the generosity of Mr. Felix Warburg, one of the Trustees of the College.
