In the division of field studies of the Institute of Educational Research Dr. Albert Shiels is making an extensive trip over the country from March 1 to April 15 for the purpose of visiting schools where special attention is being given to citizenship training. In the division of educational psychology of the Institute the following sections of the work on the algebra inquiry have been completed: Changes in the Character of the High-School Student-Body, The Occupations of High-School Graduates and Non-Graduates, The Nature of Algebraic Abilities, The Psychology of the Equation, The Psychology of Problem Solving, Instruments for Measuring the Disciplinary Value of Studies (with special reference to algebra).
