College News and Departmental Notes: Household Arts Education

Students in the department of household arts education are cooperating with Dr. Abbey Porter Leland, principal of Public School No. 1, in the Bronx, in the operation of a community center. Classes in cooking, sewing, and recreation are being conducted for girls and mothers. There are also classes in recreation for boys. The Widows' Pension Club and also a club at Brick Church House for young women interested in home furnishings are being organized again this year through the efforts of members of the department.
