College News and Departmental Notes: Household and Institution Administration

Miss Katherine Fisher, instructor in the department, spent some time in September at the State Normal School at Towson, Maryland, assisting in the reorganization of the school residence. Owing to the great increase in enrollment at the Normal School this year, many adjustments were necessary to arrange for the accommodation of the large number in residence. The problem of school and college living conditions for students is rapidly becoming one of the major interests in the field of home economics. Consequently the training of women who can take their places both as business administrators and social directors is claiming serious attention on the part of training schools and colleges.
