Professor C. E. A. Winslow has accepted the temporary appointment of director of public health of the League of Red Cross Societies, and will sail for Europe in January to be absent until next October. Miss Carolyn Gray, who completed the work for her Master's degree last year, has been appointed assistant to Miss Josephine Goldmark, investigator for the Winslow Committee on Nursing Education. Mrs. Barbara Bartlett has resigned her position in the University of Washington, where she has been in charge of instruction in public health, to accept the appointment of director of public health nursing in the University of Michigan.
