College News and Departmental Notes: Foods and Cookery

On two evenings a week from October 15 to November 24, the department of foods and cookery conducted free for Teachers College students a course of twelve lessons in kitchenette housekeeping. The following topics were treated: planning the meals, marketing, care of food and kitchen and actual preparation of food, with demonstrations. Professor Van Arsdale was chairman of the house committee.
