Miss Clara L. Rhodes, assistant in the department of English during the past year, has accepted the position of regent and head of the English department in Coker College, Hartsville, S. C. Mrs. Mary C. Colver, of the Manual Arts High School, Los Angeles, Cal., will have charge of the courses in Junior High School Literature and Composition in Teachers College during the Summer Session. The annual English Dinner of Columbia University was held this year on May 21. On May 12, Beerbohm Tree's moving picture production of Macbeth was given before a large audience in the Horace Mann auditorium.
