Organized religion is waking up to the fact that it must have a trained leadership if it is to continue to function in a world where trained leaders are demanded on every hand. This is evidenced by the number of calls for workers coming to the department of religious education at Teachers College during the past six months. While it is gratifying to realize that religious education is a growing profession, it has been uncomfortable to be unable to fill more than a fraction of the demand. To easily thirty of these calls a reluctant answer of “No one to recommend” had to be given.
