College News and Departmental Notes: The Speyer School

by Departmental notes - 1918

The Speyer School, which is now being conducted as a cooperative experiment by Teachers College and the City of New York, will send the first group of its pupils to advanced standing in the high schools, on February 1. In the two years since promotion to the high sixth grade all of the boys have done enough work to warrant their promotion to the high school; more than half will enter the tenth grade; and a few will be certified as prepared for even higher work. Very careful measures have been made of the progress of the pupils, and a full report of the experiment will be made later.
