College News and Departmental Notes: Nursing and Health

The possibilities of a national emergency have aroused a good deal of special activity in this, as in other departments of the College. The regular courses in home nursing have been taxed to their full capacity, and a special evening course in emergency nursing has been offered for students and officers of the University. The department is also planning, in cooperation with other departments of Teachers College, to offer a short series of special courses to prepare women for volunteer work as family visitors or assistants to visiting nurses and other social, workers, in case of special distress or emergency.
