College News and Departmental Notes: The Library in Summer Session

by Departmental notes - 1917

One of the serious problems in Summer School administration at Teachers College has been to provide adequate facilities at the delivery desk in Bryson Library for the thousands of busy readers for whose needs provision must be made. This problem was in part solved for the Summer Session which has just closed by the temporary installation of a delivery desk at which fifty or more applicants for books could secure front line positions at the same time. This together with the employment of additional library assistance did considerable to relieve 'traffic congestion'. There has also been opened in the Practical Arts Library a special room for the use of graduate students and to which admission is by card only.
