Organizing a School Program for the Gifted

The purpose of this chapter is to put together some experiences in establishing and maintaining programs designed to improve the education of the gifted. It is an attempt to suggest the steps involved in getting started in a single school or in an entire school district. Simply stated, this chapter tries to answer the questions, "How shall we start?" and "What will it cost?"
