They Know What They Like

During the winter quarter of 1967 the writer taught a course in the twentieth-century British and Continental novel at West Georgia College. Each student was asked to choose the "best" novel of the six read in the class, and then to write an essay justifying his individual choice. The results are discussed in this article.
