    BERNARD BADIALI is an associate professor in the College of Education at Penn State, where he coordinates the Elementary Professional Development School Partnership between Penn State and the State College Area School District. His research and scholarship focuses on teacher development, curriculum, supervision, and school–university partnerships. He was selected as a Leadership Associate with the Institute for Educational Inquiry at the University of Washington, where he is currently affiliated as an AED Scholar. He is the Eastern Regional Coordinator for the National League of Democratic Schools and the incoming president of the National Association for Professional Development Schools.
