Near East-Secondary Rural, Urban and Extension Education

The present article deals with the educational contribution of the United States to the Near East, which may be divided into two sections: secondary rural and urban schools and non-institutional extension teaching fall in one category, and higher education in another. The background of each of the countries comprising the Near East is so different and the spread of elementary education so varied that even a few generalizations are made with hesitancy.
