BELATEDLY but finally we of academic education awaken to the existence of a movement to which, for the most part, we have been quite oblivious and which has arisen entirely outside our own professional fields. Mr. Adam and the American Association for Adult Education are to be congratulated for devoting an entire, if brief, volume to workers' education. Teachers in public schools and universities who are alert to new trends should take advantage of this opportunity to become acquainted with a development not merely worthy of respectful attention, but legitimately deserving to be called the most important pioneering venture in American education today.
